Pest Control and Exterminator Service in Bucks County, PA
Bucks County is the farthest of the counties we cover, and we would rather say that plainly: from our family-run base in Media, the trip averages about 55 minutes (35 miles), and upper Bucks takes longer. So No Bugs Exterminator schedules pest control in Bucks County, PA, in advance, often grouping visits by area. What makes the county worth the drive is its range. Census (ACS) estimates put the median home at 1975 and renters at about 22 percent, but those averages hide a post-war south, a growing middle and a rural north that each need a different plan.

Levittown slabs, central Bucks subdivisions and upper Bucks farmland
Lower Bucks is post-war suburb. Levittown, built by Levitt & Sons in the 1950s across Bristol, Falls and Middletown townships and Tullytown, put some 17,000 houses on concrete slabs with heating coils inside them. Subterranean termites reach the wood through expansion joints, slab cracks and plumbing openings, and enclosed carports and additions create new seams. Along the I-95 and Route 1 corridor, places like Bensalem add hotels, apartments and restaurants, where bed bugs, German cockroaches and rodents are the steady work.
Central Bucks, around Newtown, Northampton, Warminster and Doylestown, is mostly 1970s to 1990s subdivision built on former farmland and wood lots. Basements, decks and mulch beds bring termites, carpenter ants and fall mice, while parks such as Tyler State Park carry deer and blacklegged ticks to backyards.
Upper Bucks, from Quakertown and Perkasie out toward Lake Nockamixon, is still farm and forest. Barns, fieldstone farmhouses and outbuildings mean mice, wasps, carpenter bees and stink bugs. Along the Delaware, river towns such as New Hope and Yardley have older buildings, and the Delaware Canal and river floodplain keep mosquitoes active through summer. The whole county sits within Pennsylvania's spotted lanternfly quarantine and a moderate-to-heavy termite zone.

How we schedule Bucks County visits from Media
Most trips run up I-95 through Philadelphia into lower Bucks, then on to central and upper Bucks by US 1, Route 611 or Route 309. Because of the distance, we book Bucks County appointments ahead and try to cluster them. Thom and his team start every job with a free inspection and a written quote, and we are open 7 days, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., for calls and scheduling.

Doylestown, the Delaware Canal and Bucks County's state parks
Doylestown is the county seat. The Delaware Canal State Park towpath runs along the river from Morrisville past Yardley and New Hope, while Tyler State Park sits near Newtown and Nockamixon State Park anchors upper Bucks. Major routes include I-95, US 1, the Pennsylvania Turnpike, Route 611 and Route 309. The county's southern edge meets Northeast Philadelphia, which is why lower Bucks housing resembles the city's post-war neighborhoods more than the farm towns to the north. Neshaminy Creek winds from central Bucks through Tyler State Park to the Delaware at Neshaminy State Park in Bensalem, and its floodplain is where many mosquito and tick calls begin. Washington Crossing Historic Park, Peace Valley Park around Lake Galena and Sesame Place in Middletown Township are other landmarks, and Bucks County Community College's main campus is in Newtown. Across that spread, the calls range from slab termite checks in Levittown to barn mice and carpenter bees on upper Bucks farms.

Questions from Bucks County homeowners
Do you really serve Bucks County from Media?
Yes, by appointment. Bucks County is a longer drive for us, about 55 minutes on average and more for upper Bucks, so we do not offer quick drop-in visits there. Call to schedule and we will find the next opening, often grouped with other jobs nearby. Every visit begins with a free inspection and a written quote.
Why are termites such a concern in Levittown-era slab homes?
Slab houses hide termite entry. Instead of a basement wall where mud tubes are easy to spot, termites come up through cracks, expansion joints and plumbing openings straight into wall framing. In lower Bucks we check those points, plus later additions and enclosed carports, where new concrete meets old. See termite inspection for what is covered.
What pests are most common on upper Bucks farm properties?
Mice, wasps, carpenter bees and stink bugs top the list. Barns and outbuildings store feed and offer shelter, fieldstone farmhouses have gaps in old mortar, and exposed wood siding draws carpenter bees each spring. We inspect outbuildings along with the house and quote them separately if you want them included.
